I couldn't believe how stifling hot our room was. No air conditioning, and when I asked for a fan, they didn't have one! I barely slept for two nights, just tossing and turning in the sweltering heat.

The place was quirky and had friendly attentive and reasonably good staff with good service, loved the stay. The location was fantastic, in other as areas too, and the room was recently refurbished. It was also next to Ambleside, Bowness, Kendal and Keswick, eateries and centre of Grassmere.

We had a fantastic stay at Easter bank holiday weekend.
The hotel was located really close to nearby Ambleside, the centre of Grasmere, an ideal place to explore the beautiful lakes and the restaurant for 8pm. Terrific room with a balcony, good staff - everything was wonderful. They provided an excellent breakfast with fantastic view and also a cheese omelette. The location by the lovely hills around Grasmere was stunning for us.

Location
The initial room we were given was absolutely freezing and tiny and smelt damp. Given another room which was marginally better. While I know it was peak season, considering the cost of the room with breakfast, I felt it was very over priced. There was no clear instruction for how to operate the shower and as a result I scolded my feet as the Jacuzzi started to churn out scolding hot water.

The hotel was in a great location right in the middle of grasmere, and the pool was pretty warm which was nice. Room was clean with a comfy bed and good views. Really enjoyed the bar area with all those big sofas. The reception staff were chill and helpful.
But they need to fix some stuff in the room like the toilet seat and some lights not working. The parking situation was a bit tight.

Location
Very very small room. And even smaller bathroom ... With mould around the bath. PWe had our border terrier with us if we had a larger dog we would not have got in the room! Breakfast great, bar meals very average

Unfortunately the ventilation/air conditioning was extremely loud from 06.00 a.m. Very good breakfast and also very tasty in the restaurant in the evening.

Amazing stay with great vibes
The food was very nice, especially the dining options-had breakfast in the lounge and it was great! The pool and sauna were such a treat after hiking. Only bummer? The WiFi didn't reach our room, a bit annoying. Would def come back!
